Ingrid Marrero Reeve grew up in the border town of El Paso, TX. She has a Bachelors of Art in International Relations with a minor in Art from St. Mary’s University and has studied painting at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is currently working on her MFA at California State University, Fullerton. Ingrid is highly influenced by other artists, particularly her grandfather, who exhibited internationally and studied with Mariano Rodriguez, a Cuban pupil of Diego Rivera. Music, her travels, architecture, mainly the work of Antoni Gaudi, and her countries of origin, Mexico, Cuba and Spain, also influence her work.
